State Rep. Jaime Greene and Sen. Dan Lauwers on Wednesday presented a tribute to the city of Richmond recognizing the 100th anniversary of its town clock, which was donated by Gilbert “Square Deal” Miller a Detroit businessman born in Richmond. The iconic clock, crafted by the Seth Thomas Clock Co., was installed on July 17, 1924. Standing more than 15 feet high and weighing more than 4,000 pounds, the clock has marked the passage of time for generations, witnessing the evolution of Richmond and serving as a favorite gathering spot for the community.
