The state House of Representatives today passed a bill sponsored by state Rep. Andrew Beeler to extend the filing deadline for city income tax returns, as Michigan taxpayers continue to deal with challenges related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rep. Beeler talks about his HB 4569, which would automatically extend the city income tax filing deadline in conjunction with any extension of the federal filing deadline. The measure received unanimous House approval and is now pending in the Michigan Senate.
